How does it work?

A chemical reaction occurs on the primary binder in the coating, and as such follows the general rule of all chemical reactions. Important factors in this process are temperature and the quantity of the coating to be removed.

Neutrastrip is designed to function at room temperature (15 - 18°C). If the bath temperature drops below this level there will be a slower reaction rate and hence a longer stripping time. As a general rule, a drop in temperature by 10°C will double the stripping time.

Any increase in the coating to be removed means an increase in stripping time. This relates to the thickness of the coating and the surface area it has to act upon.

Double coatings require longer processing times compared to single coatings etc.

What's required to set up?

The franchise is a complete package with all equipment and raw materials required supplied together with a comprehensive manual and hands on training period. All council permits are already obtained.

There is a legal agreement signed by both parties ensuring ongoing supply of product and technical assistance if and when required. The initial cost is a one-off with no further franchise fee payments.

The area required would be approximately 2,000 sqft and as aluminium extrusions are usually 5-6 metres long, a rectangular building is preferable. A suitable gantry beam is also necessary for overhead lifting.
